If you find a slotcar that looks like it will run ok, but the glazing, wing mirrors, bumpers etc are missing, you can make it into a stock car (also known as a banger car). This Mk1 Ford Capri has just been converted for racing at the Mendip Raceway (see their website for more ideas), by removing all the unnecessary bits and adding a roll cage. This Capri has not been raced yet. If my friend can get my the photographs I will publish some after shots. All I need now is an oval circuit.

Here is another Ford Capri banger car. It is actually a 'Classic' banger car as it came off the production line before 1975 and has an engine up to 2500cc. It is driven by Richard Sparks.
